  • We have your consent. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information
  • We provide information to service providers under contract who help with our business operations for the purpose of processing personal information on our behalf, including but not limited to payment processing, bill collection, analyzing data, marketing, customer service, and fraud investigations. We require that these parties agree to process such information based on our instructions and in compliance with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

  • We become involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of our assets. Should such a combination occur, we will require that the new combined entity follow this privacy policy, ensure the confidentiality of any personal information involved in such transaction, and provide notice before your personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

ADVERTISEMENTS & MARKETING

Exchango does not run advertisements on our Website, but we reserve the right to advertise at anytime. We don't sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We may combine your information with information we collect from other companies and use it to improve and personalize our services, content, and advertising.

PERSONAL INFORMATION SHARED BETWEEN USERS

Using Exchango, you may obtain another user's email address, shipping address, and/or other information. You have only a limited license to use this information. This information should only be used for Exchango-related communications or for Exchango-facilitated transactions. We have not granted you a license to use the information for unsolicited commercial messages and strictly prohibit such activities. Without limiting the foregoing, you are not licensed to add any Exchango user to your mailing list (email or physical mail), without express consent from the user.

SERVICE-RELATED ANNOUNCEMENTS

When using our services, Exchango will send you an email for the purposes of authentication of identity, status confirmation, publishing item listings, registering user accounts, subscription services, or other service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. Receipt of these emails may be required for using certain features. You may not opt-out of service-related communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive such messages, you should stop accessing and/or using our Website immediately.

SHARE FEATURES ON LISTINGS

Certain features on each listing for an item posted on Exchango allow users to share information about a specific item by sending a personalized email message to friends or publishing a message on your social media accounts (such as facebook, twitter, digg, de.licio.us, reddit, etc.). If you choose to use these features, you will leave our Website and be redirected to the media outlet of your choosing. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties to which you are redirected. Please be aware of the site to which you are redirected before entering personal or account information.

COOKIES

When you access our Website, Exchango may send cookies to be stored on your computer's hard drive and uniquely identify your browser. Cookies are small files placed on your computer that recognize you when you return to Exchango and that allow us to customize your user experience. In addition, we may use cookies to customize our services and content, improve the quality of our services, help analyze our web traffic, measure promotional effectiveness, and promote trust and safety. TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Exchango may employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that helps us better manage content on our Website by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of website users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Information gathered is anonymous and we do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to your personal information. The use of cookies by our third party tracking partners is not covered by our Privacy Policy. We do not have access or control over these cookies. Our partners may use session ID cookies to support our Website functionality such as web analytics reporting.

NO SPAM, SPYWARE, OR SPOOFING

Exchango and our users do not tolerate spam. You may not use our communication tools to send spam or otherwise send content that would violate our Terms of Use. We may automatically scan and/or manually filter messages to check for spam, viruses, phishing attacks and other malicious activity or illegal or prohibited content, but we do not permanently store messages sent through these tools.
